According to the United Nations 2 billion people globally do not have access to safely managed drinking water.

In 2007, while living in Sydney, Australia Pete and Sharon founded BeyondWater, a charitable organisation that works across Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, South Sudan and the DRC.

In 2012 they moved to Nairobi, Kenya to build a local team to expand the work

Our focus is on schools, medical clinics and remote communities. Projects include deep bore wells, water tanks, guttering, hand washing programs, school toilets and a girls leadership program.

Sharon is the CEO of BeyondWater, while Pete is the Director of Projects. They work alongside a team of 8 nationals.
